Meet Our Founders

Dr Fallon and Dr Laura founded Infant Sleep Australia in 2020 to provide a trusted, balanced approach to infant and toddler sleep—something they saw was sorely missing for exhausted parents. Understanding that sleep is both an emotional and complex issue, they created a space where families could find sensible, evidence-based guidance. Their approach empowers parents to make informed decisions that support both healthy sleep and strong infant mental health.

Hear from our happy families

Fallon and Laura are absolutely experts in infant and toddler sleep and have developed the most evidence-based and holistic sleep program I’ve come across. Something unique about their program is being able to ask questions which they answer on the podcast to the benefit of not just members but non-members too. They provide the support you need, with coaching calls as well, to give you the confidence to try and improve and support your baby’s sleep journey. Wish I’d started the program sooner! Thanks for the wonderful work you do Fallon and Laura!

Fallon has been an incredible help to our family. I can’t rave about her enough! Her advice and support has been an absolute game changer. We first saw her when our first born was 14 months old and still waking for a feed every hour or so. Fallon had her sleeping through the night very quickly and has helped us to troubleshoot things like very early waking or late bedtimes when her sleep needs changed, or when her sleep has been derailed by illness, travel or the arrival of her younger sister. There was no way we were going to wait so long to get help with our younger baby as we wanted to get the foundations right from the beginning, and Fallon has been amazing assisting us with her too. I urge any parents struggling with their kids sleep or wanting to be proactive about sleep to see Fallon, I can’t recommend her highly enough and recommend her to all my friends.

After 3 months of constant 40 minutes - hourly wakes we were exhausted, defeated and every night was filled with anxiety. We made a Telehealth appointment with Dr. Laura and although we had a rocky start Dr. Laura tweaked our sleep plan and I cannot even begin to express the changes that have happened, our 7 month old now gets a full 10 hours of sleep with little support at the start of the night. If you are wondering whether to book an appointment I highly recommend you do, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you so much Dr. Laura, we really appreciate all the guidance you provided us.

One hundred percent worth the investment! Previously our 6 month old would wake anywhere from 4-8 times a night, and we were both at the end of our tether. We were so skeptical of anything actually being effective. She now sleeps from 7:30pm - 6am, with just one wake up to feed - we’re still in disbelief! Dr Laura was so kind, considerate and knew exactly how to fix her frequent overnight wakes. We now have a much happier, thriving girl, and we couldn’t be more thankful!

My 9-month-old daughter was waking up constantly during the night, was difficult to settle, would have large periods of wake, and alot of the time would only sleep in arms. We had been to an early parenting centre with no success. However, after following the sleep plan derived by Dr Fallon Cook after our initial virtual appointment we saw immense improvements and our daughter now sleeps through the night in her cot. It has been completely life-changing and we are extremely grateful for Dr Cook's thorough guidance.

I could not recommend this program more. I was very anxious about making the move from co-sleeping and feeding to sleep, to my 7 month old sleeping in his cot all night. This program is so informative and easy to digest. I felt so empowered and supported and they answered my question on the podcast too. After one night he was falling asleep in his cot and a week on we’re getting reduced night wakings. Thank you Laura and Fallon!

Frequently Asked Questions

What approaches do we use?

Our approaches are safe for infant mental health. If independent settling is your goal, then we will walk you through a range of gentle approaches, some very gradual and others that are faster – but all responsive and kind. We also custom design approaches to specifically fit the sensory needs of your child, and their temperament.
You’re in the driver’s seat, we will support you to make the best decision for your family. We’re also circadian rhythm experts – no more rigid wake windows or age-based schedules, we identify your little one’s unique sleep needs and build out the perfect, flexible, daily rhythm.

What are the fees?

• Initial appointments cost $310 AUD.This includes your 50 minute appointment plus your practitioner dedicates around 30 minutes additional time to completing a sleep diary analysis before your appointment, and preparing your tailored sleep plan after your appointment.
• Review appointments are 50 minutes duration and cost $305 AUD.
• Standard appointments are 25 minutes duration and cost $152 AUD.
• Appointments with a sleep practitioner are not currently covered by Medicare or private health insurance.

Is telehealth effective?

When we compare the progress of families who attend our Melbourne based face-to-face clinic, to families who attend telehealth (videocall) appointments, there simply is no difference – both options are equally effective.
For this reason, we recommend attending your appointment via telehealth to avoid travel while feeling fatigued. It’s safer and easier for parents to manage. If you’d rather see us in Melbourne, click here.
